Kaitlyn is a USATF Level 1 Coach
Focus: Ultra Marathon, Long Distance, 1/2 Marathon to Marathon
After a competitive high school running career in track and field Kaitlyn took a break to pursue a degree in music therapy. While in school she continued to run to keep her fitness and maintain balance. After a her fathers diagnosis of multiple sclerosis Kaitlyn decided to take her running to the next level in 2014, she ran 7 marathons in 7 days totaling 180 miles for multiple sclerosis research and awareness with the charity MS Run the US. This catapulted her in to the ultra marathoner she is today. After that initial 180 miles she decided to get back to running competitively and thus began her journey into finding a deep love for trail and ultra running.
In 2015 she finished her first 50k and 50 mile race and decided she needed to go
Back and run for MS again. In May of 2016 Kaitlyn ran from steamboat springs Colorado to Denver Colorado ( her home state) another 7 marathons in 7 days with the help of her coach and teammates of Lifelong Endurance. This solidified her decision to start her journey to help others achieve their goals through running.
In 2016 Kaitlyn took her love for running to the next level and received her USATF Level 1 Certification. She also volunteers her time as an assistant coach working with the high level youth athletes of the Golden Running Academy.
In 2017 she is tackling the Leadville 100 course and working with numerous athletes worldwide to help them reach their goals.
