Andrew has been a competitive Marathon and Half Marathon Runner for the better part of a decade. Andrew started his competitive career originally in triathlon. His transition to competitive sports wasn’t so simple; the thought of a running a mile was daunting with the additional 70 lbs. on his frame. After finding a flyer for a triathlon in a local bike shop, he decided to take on a challenge that would change him significantly. Andrew has continued to push his limits, completing 30+ Marathons, 25+ Half Marathons and 35+ Triathlons, including the 2011 Louisville Ironman.

After completing the 2011 Ironman, Andrew took another journey over 26.2 miles an additional three times by completing 3 Marathons in 8 days, in 3 states (2 back to back) in an average time of 3:08 minutes. In 2013, Andrew followed his dreams to pursue a career in the wonderful state of Colorado where he currently resides. Andrew’s training is currently focused on racing marathons and is in pursuit of a lifetime goal of 2:30’s marathon.

In 2015, Andrew acquired his Training Peaks Level 1 and Level 2 certifications. The TrainingPeaks certification Level 2 is the highest offering the company endows and indicates Andrews expertise utilize the software. In 2016 Andrew received his USATF Level 2 Coaching Certification, this certification is focused on Endurance curriculum and requires 3 months of tests and preparation along with 6 exams before taking a final Exam in Endurance to receive certification.  He is a competitive athlete and coach. When he’s not busy with work he enjoys exploring, mountain biking, finding new roads and routes, as well as being a voracious consumer of new knowledge.

Coaching Mentality:

Andrew believes that good form, functional strength and efficient running economy are the building blocks of successful injury free runners. Andrew teaches athletes the importance of pacing, speed development and focuses on getting the most out of every workout. He is committed to helping athletes meet and exceed their goals.
