About Coach Lexi
Lexi, while growing up the child of ultra runners in the running mecca of Leadville, Co, did not always have a passion for running. In fact, her first love was skiing, which lead her attending Western State College of Colorado. This amazing school gave her the opportunity to develop a passion community engagement, as she studied Politics and Government.
After graduation, she moved to Denver to work in the mental health field. Due to missing the mountains, living in a one bedroom apartment with a recently adopted puppy, and trying to maintain stress levels, she began running again. Her first marathon, run on a whim, was an udder disaster as she had absolutely no idea what she was doing. She finished in over five hours and vowed she would never run again. But, she did. Over the the next several years, she began to spend her free time learning about different training methods, and whittled over two hours off of her marathon time.
As her races got longer and she started seeing her name higher in the results, she felt the urge to help others grow in the same way she did. She also wanted to foster a community for runners, of all ability levels, to come together and share their passion for the sport. She obtained a coaching certification and found her way to Lifelong Endurance in order to make this hope more real.
