About Coach Stacy
Stacy is a USA Triathlon Level 2 Certified Coach with more than 15 years of endurance racing experience and more than 10 years coaching experience. Stacy is a member of USA Triathlon’s National Coaching Commission (NCC) in addition to being a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) and a Certified Exercise Physiologist through the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM-EP). She has attended the Elite Coaching Mentorship Program at the Olympic Training Center in 2009 and 2015.
Stacy has experience coaching triathletes, of all distances, runners, cyclists and duathletes. She enjoys coaching athletes of all levels. Stacy has completed 8 full marathons, 20+half marathons, 8 half Ironman distance triathlons and countless sprint and Olympic distance triathlons. Stacy grew up in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan where she swam and ran track in high school and figure skated most of her life. She continued to skate for Western Michigan University and earned her BS in Exercise Science. She moved to Texas for a job in corporate fitness and to continue her education at The University of Texas at Arlington, where she received her MS in Kinesiology. She has been living in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area for the past 16 years teaching college courses in Kinesiology and coaching. Stacy and her family recently moved to Golden, CO from Texas. She is excited to explore all the trails in the area and wants to try an Xterra triathlon race in the near future. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, yoga and spending time with her husband and four year old daughter.
