Strength Training for Endurance Athletes

Smart. Focused. Easy - We know that our biggest asset is our coaches ability to communicate, evaluate, and deliver a quality program that you need to succeed on race day. Our coaches build programs to fit your unique demands whether you’re a pilot, professional triathlete, runner, or just one of our neighbors wanting to get fit so you can keep up with your kids.

Removing Fear - “Strength training is going to bulk me up”. It’s the number one reason people don’t pick up weight, they believe that weights = mass. Our coaching team is focused on helping you create a body that is mobile, function, and purpose built for the demands you put on it.

We make it easy - Whether you’re in the gym, out in your garage, or squeezing in a session in your living room we make working out easy with short videos for every movement.

Feedback - You want to know if you’re doing it right and we want to make sure you’re moving in a smart and healthy way. Our coaches are happy to dive in and give you feedback.

Always On - Your training plan is here for you to do it on your timeline. We know you’re busy and fitting into a class schedule can be impossible. You can access your training plan at anytime and complete it when you have the time

The Robust Runner

 

Training time is always at a premium and you need a program that efficient, focused, and guaranteed to help you perform better on race day. This is not a program for building bulk, this program is designed to build power, mobility, and durability. Most runners believe that strength training will take away from their ability to build mileage, we believe that without strength and mobility - you can’t reach your full potential.

BUILDING RUNNERS TO BE STRONG, CAPABLE, AND DURABLE FOR WHATEVER THEIR RACE WILL THROW AT THEM.

Session Duration: 30-45 Minutes, 2 days each week

Training Goal: Strength, Injury Prevention, Mobility

Cost: $49 (for 8 weeks), $29/ month (to join the team)

+ Program Description

Strength Training is an after thought for runners until they are injured, frustrated, and broken.

The Robust Runner program targets the problems runners struggle with most - resolving problems with knee pain, IT band syndrome, Piriformis pain, and Psoas weakness. Every movements has it's roots in running form - don’t look for bicep curls here - we’re focusing on building a strong runner that is insulated from injury.

Q: Who is this program for?

A: Runners who want to take their running to the next level. This program has a big focus on running mechanics.

Q Where/when should I start?

A: Right now. The Robust Runner Team Program is built so you can jump in anytime. You are not behind, and everything is self-paced.

Q: If there is a training session every day of the week, am I required to complete all of them?

A: No. While we recommend that you do as much as you can, we get that life happens. As long as you make the most of the time you do have and stay committed to great technique, you’ll continue to make progress.

Q: Do I need to belong to a certain type of gym to be able to do this program?

A: While you should be able to complete the training at most gyms, access to barbells, dumbells, kettlebells, and medicine balls will be helpful. However, if you ever need adjustments or advice on different movement options, your coaches will be there to help you out!

Q: How long does each session take?

A: This depends upon a wide variety of factors such as your current strength and fitness level if you are training where you live vs. training at a bsy gym, whether you train with a partner. In general, each session should take no longer than 70 minutes.
